SMS COMMANDS

You can use the Matchmaker by sending SMS’s to the number 32525, available on Celtel and MTN.

Each SMS must begin with keyword MM followed by space and then one of the SMS command. Some commands contain alternative criteria always separated with space.

Here you can find a description of all the SMS commands used In the MatchMaker. For each of your SMS you will receive a response from the SMS center which either confirms your operation and recommends next step or gives you a notice of an invalid command with tips to help you enter the correct command.

 

1. REGISTRATION

MM REG <nickname> (nickname can be up to 10 alphanumeric characters): Registers your nickname.

Example:MM REG JANE
(User registered the nickname JANE)
Note: More than one nickname can be registered to a particular mobile phone number.

 
2. ENTER YOUR PROFILE
MM PARTNER AGE 18TO28 LOC lag…
This command allows you to view, edit and place your profile in the MatchMaker´s database so it can be seen by others.Example: MM MINE CAT MW RT FL AGE 25 HEI 6-4 BT ATH SC DK LOC ABJ
(This is the full version of the command to enter more criteria)
(You are: A 25year old Man seeking a woman to flirt with, 6'4'' tall, athletic body, dark skin color, from Abuja)
 

3. ENTER PARTNER PROFILE
MM PARTNER AGE 18TO28 LOC lag…
Allows the MM Service to search out the perfect match for you from its database based on the criteria you specified.
Example: MM PARTNER AGE 30to40 HEI 5-6to5-11 BT ATH SC DK LOC ABJ
(This is the full version of the command to enter more criteria)

(User wants a match between ages 30 and 40, height between 5ft 6" and 5ft 11", with an athletic body, dark skin color, living in Abuja)
Note: Remember to first register your nickname and your profile before requesting for partner profile.

 

4. MM VIEW &lt;partner_nickname&gt;
Allows you to view the profile of a particular nickname from your match results.

Example: MM VIEW John
(User wants to view John's profile)

 

5. MM VIEW MINE
This command allows you to check or edit your profile.

 
6. MM NICKNAMES
Helps you to view all the nicknames you registered to a particular mobile number (MSISDN).
 
7. MM ACCESS <nickname>
User has registered more than one nickname to a particular mobile phone number and wants to use a particular nickname to access the MatchMaker.
 

8. MM SEND <nickname> <message>
Allows you to send a message to a particular nickname and also receive messages from that nickname.

Example: MM SEND JOHN I would like to get to know you
(User sent John this text: I would like to get to know you)

 

9. MM SENDFROM <your_nickname> <partner_nickname>
Helps you to send a message from a particular nickname if you have registered more than one nickname to a particular mobile phone number.

Example: MM SENDFROM JANE JOHN I would like to get to know you
(JANE who is the user sent this message to JOHN: I would like to get to know you)

 

10. MM ? <any_command>
Allows you to receive help on how to use a specific command.

Example: MM ? SENDFROM
(User needs help on how to use the SENDFROM command)

 

11. MM EX <any_command>
Allows you to receive an example on how to use a specific command.

Example: MM ? ACCESS
(User needs information on how to use the ACCESS command)

 
12. MM FIND
This command allows you to make a new search, using the previous profile entered so that the partner's profile doesn't have to be specified again. Another list of five partner nicknames is sent.
 
13. MM NEXT
This command allows you to get another list of the next five nicknames to the ones presently viewed.
 
14. MM DEL PARTNER
This command allows you to delete a partner's profile which you had previously entered.
 
15. MM DEL MINE
This command allows you to delete the profile which you had previously entered for yourself.
 
16. MM WHO
Type and send this command if you have forgotten the nickname you are currently using.
 

17. MM BLOCK <partner nickname>
This command allows you to block incoming messages from an undesirable person. Blocking is a reversible action.

Example: MM BLOCK John
(User wants to block incoming messages from the nickname John)

 

18. MM UNBLOCK <partner nickname>
This command allows you start receiving messages from a nickname which was previously blocked.

Example: MM UNBLOCK John
(User wants to start receiving messages from the nickname John again)

 
19. MM BLOCKED
This command allows you to receive a list of all nicknames you have blocked previously.
 

20. MM DEREG <nickname>
This command allows you to deregister and stop using a specific nickname.

Example: MM DEREG JANE

CAT: Category
RT: relationship type
MW: A Man seeking a woman
WM: A Woman seeking a man
SER: serious
FLI: flirt
Age: age
HEI: height
BT: body type

SC: Skin color
